Daily Inspiration...

In my opinion, happiness cannot be attained through material, wealth, fame, or other worldly things. Happiness sneaks up on when when you least expect it. Many days in my past, I used to dream of finding happiness, but I never could find the true meaning of it until I fell in love with God. Knowing that He is with me at all times makes me content in whatever status my life is in.

Happiness can also be found through love. Not necessarily love in marriage, but love between family and friends. Love one another because hatred in the world in spreading expeditiously. Love is needed to extinguish the flame of hate, and to bring forth more happiness in the world.

God is love. (1 John 4:8)

Let's Squash The Hatred Amongst Us...

Daily Inspiration...

I've decided to take my inspiration on the road. Two weeks ago at work, during our daily team meeting, I decided to say little pieces of inspiration to boost morale in our work environment. People were like, "Why is Greg giving us inspiration? He is he usually super quiet." I did it because I am evolving into the man I am destined to be, and because I love the feeling of knowing that I helped someone.

Now, on to the post topic. Last week during our meeting at work, I spoke on hatred in our work group, and how people held grudges against one another. Hate is what is killing our world now. From the minor hatred of kindergartners fighting over crayons to the major hatred that fueled the attacks on 9/11. It's all destroying our society. My thing is, if we can stop the minor hatred a day at a time, imagine how we can impact the world!!

So today as you go along with your day, replace hatred and animosity with love, and see the outcome. Just try it out for a day, and notice the difference in your life. You will continue to keep this trend up of loving each other instead of fighting. Instead of insulting someone, compliment them on today.

Over the course of my life, I have had many dreams. Most of them are dreams about success. Everyday I ponder on how I can make at least one of my dreams become reality.

I do not want to conform to everyday life as an average joe working at Fedex to provide for myself. I want to show the world the talents that I have. I want my creativity to be acknowledged by many.

I want some Grammy awards, and maybe even write a musical score for a movie. These are dreams that I have, but with my drive, inspiration, and faith in God, I KNOW I can make these dreams REALITY. One day I will be added to the picture you see above....

Many people want to see their dreams become reality, but they lack confidence. Without confidence, you are just dreaming without a purpose. If you are always doubting yourself, then that pessimistic behavior can cause you to fail. You have to believe and have faith that you can achieve your goals.

Nothing is promised, and nothing happens overnight, but if you know in your heart that you are meant to do a certain thing, then go for it!! With God by your side, you can't lose. Unless you succumb to the haters and naysayers, then you can make it with confidence in yourself and your goal.

Now don't let your confidence overload, and become arrogance because arrogance can surely bring you down. Arrogance is like the mean older brother of confidence, lol. Just don't let your confidence get out of hand because it sometimes becomes a power you can't control. Keep you confidence locked down, lol.

Being jealous of someone can only lead to your personal destruction. It is not healthy to be envious of someone. The act of desiring something someone else has shows that you are ungrateful of the things you currently possess.

This trait can cause you to develop mild hatred as well for the person you are jealous of. To shake this trait, the moment that you feel a sense if jealousy you need to stop and think to yourself, "What can I do to get myself in that position?" This will enable you to strve for something better than what you were previously jealous of.

So, instead of being jealous of someone, simply strive to be better. It will make this world a more peaceful place I think.

Daily Inspiration

To be inspired is one of the greatest feelings in the world. To know in your heart that you can be anything you want to be in life gives me confidence to succeed. Being inspired boosts my confidence and my drive. Inspiration is like Gatorade in the final quarter of a long basketball game. It pushes you more to accomplish your goal.

When I look at Michael in the early 80's, I see the individuality of him. How he set himself apart from other artists is a surreptitious way of saying "I'm the best!!" MJ inspires me to be the greatest individual I can be in life. No matter what negative things people may think of me.

Many people want their dreams to become reality as soon as possible. Well it doesn't work like that. Accomplishing your goals takes time. You're not going to go to bed one night, and wake up with ten Grammys on your nightstand. You have to work for it. Some people want things in life to come easy and quick. Well life ain't Burger King, you can't always have it your way.

Take time to finesse your skills, learn your weaknesses, and improve your knowledge of your area of study. This will give you an obivious advantage over the "overnight celebrities" in the long run. This can be applied to any field in life. Whether it's getting that promotion you dreamed about or completing that video game you have been playing for weeks, take time to discover what skills can give you the edge you need to succeed, and also have faith in God. Don't rush, your time to shine will soon come.
